a Jamaican Punch recipe with Momo's Michelada Mix
In this episode of our Creative Cocktails series, our resident mixologist Josh takes us on a journey to the Caribbean with his Jamaican Punch. Inspired by the resourceful spirit of Jamaican bartenders, this bold and flavorful cocktail combines a variety of ingredients to create a truly unique libation.
Josh's inspiration for the Jamaican Punch recipe with Momo's Michelada Mix: "I've always struggled with making cocktails in tall glasses with ice. Maybe it's because of my early days drinking whiskey, or perhaps it's just a lack of inspiration. But that changed when I read about Jamaican punch. They primarily used whatever they had available, mixing it all together due to a national water shortage. From this, a rum punch was born! Inspired by their resourcefulness, I gained the courage to combine these basic ingredients: cranberry and grenadine for a sharp sweetness, pineapple for body, honey for a bold sweetness, Angostura bitters for baking spice, and Momo's to tie it all together. I hope you all enjoy this as much as the patrons I used to serve. Enjoy it with or without vodka."
